The Cinder Track
One of the most popular routes for both walkers and cyclists is the Cinder Track, a disused railway line that stretches 21 miles from Whitby to Scarborough. This route offers stunning views of the North Sea and the surrounding countryside. The terrain is mostly flat and well-maintained, making it perfect for families, casual cyclists, and walkers alike.
Dalby Forest
Whether you've just bought your first bike, or you're happy shredding through rock gardens, Dalby Forest offers a fantastic opportunity for natural cycling. Exploring this stunning forest on two wheels will leave you grinning from ear to ear. With graded trails for various abilities, there is something for everyone to enjoy no matter the weather!
Esk Valley
For a taste of the best and most varied scenery in the Esk Valley, head out by bike on the eastern road circuit from The Moors National Park Centre at Danby. The villages on the first half of the route, in particular – Lealholm, Egton and Egton Bridge – are some of the most charming in the whole valley, with stepping stones, sleepy greens and traditional pubs.
